CHANGE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO THRIVE IN LIFE

I have heard comments like, “Change is never easy”. I believe for many of us this is true. It is even more difficult when the change was forced upon you, like a loss of a loved one, a job, or divorce. This can lead to feelings of life being out of control or unmanageable. The uncertainty of what can happen, becomes very fearful and devastating. Some people might find it hard and might never fully recover, so they give up, because of feelings and thoughts of failure and hopelessness. I truly believe that we can make any change in our life smoother by taking these scriptures to heart and implanting them in our mind.

1. We should not allow fear or doubt to try and make its home in our heart or mind.
The word of God tells us in Isa 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

When we take God’s Word and trust Him with our lives, we can face any new situation without fearing the unknown.
First of all, we are not alone He is with us, and he will not only help us but strengthen us. With this type of assurance, we can face tomorrow and go move forward with confidence that God has your back.

2. We must determine to face life with an attitude of Victory.
This is obtained by what we are focusing on. If we keep our eyes on what seems difficult or impossible our outlook for life might seem disheartening. Instead, we should learn to cast our cares upon the Lord (Psalm 55:22). We must believe God, that in ALL things you are more than conquerors through him who loves you. (Romans 8:37)

3. Speak Faith & take your Authority as a child of God.
Our best example of how to live a victorious life is Jesus Christ. When He was going across the Sea of Galilee a huge storm, which was threatening to sink their boat, came upon Him and the disciples. Look at Jesus reaction to the storm that suddenly came upon them, Mark 4:39-40, “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?

Like Jesus there will come times in our lives that we will need to face the storms and take our authority as children of God and learn to quiet down the storms. A storm can be any thought that is contrary to the Word of God, it can be any type of lack in your life. Don't run in fear from the storms of life, instead face them with the authority given to you as a child of God. In (Psalm 23:1) God promised us that He would be our Shepherd and that we would not lack for anything that we need.
So, learn to Speak FAITH to the storms of life and commanded it to be still in the name of Jesus.

4. Have hope for the future.
This is not difficult when you have a trusting relationship with your heavenly Father. For those of us who did not grow up with the greatest example of a loving earthly parents, might find it a little challenging to believe that He will always come through and never fail you. In fact, you might have to keep working on it till you come to a place of total surrender to our heavenly Father and His love for you. I have found these scriptures have helped me along the way and I am sure they will do the same for you.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Let us not run from God but run to Him and to His Word for times of need. Let His Word replace any doubt or fears. Let us trust in a loving God that would not even spare his only begotten son for us.
Once we have the confidence in His love for you can face tomorrow with the assurance that any change is not only a new beginning, but an opportunity to
